Michael Fox: Founder, President, & CEO
Michael Fox is the Founder, President, and CEO of Aspen Club International, LLC (1996-Present). Prior to the Aspen Club, Michael co-founded Internet Healthcare Group (IHCG), a company investing at the intersection of information technology and the healthcare industry. IHCG was an early investor in start-ups such as Lumenos (sold to Wellpoint Inc.), RealMed, Digital Insurance, (sold to Fidelity National Financial), and Optate (sold to WebMD). Michael was the Co-Founder of Epoch Innovations Ltd, an early neuroperformance company. Based on decades of scientific R&D and extensive testing in clinical trials, Epoch’s patented technology uses unique hardware and software solutions to improve cognitive performance using non-invasive techniques. The company’s first product, BrightStar, is still successfully treating dyslexia and reading disorders in both adults and children.
Michael also worked for Goldman Sachs in their Principal Investment Areas both in New York and Hong Kong. He received his B.S. degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University in 1991. Michael enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, and spending time with his wife and three children.
Corey Enloe: CFO & Director of Hospitality
Prior to joining the Aspen Club, Corey Enloe worked as a hospitality professional at Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants for 16 years in upper management positions. Corey began his career in hospitality management while attending the University of Utah, where he majored in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism management. During his career, he has overseen all areas of hotel and restaurant operations, including finances, guest services, back of house operations, sales, marketing, and revenues management. Corey achieved the designation of Certified Hospitality Administrator (CHA) from the American Hotel & Lodging Association in 2013. He also completed a certificate program in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University in 2015.
During his time in Aspen, Corey has served on the Board of Directors as Vice Chair for the Aspen Chamber Resort Association (ACRA), as well as Chair of the Aspen Lodging Association. Corey also served on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association. Corey is passionate about the “Aspen Idea” of mind, body, and spirit and enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife and three children.
Tim Power Smith: Director of Operations
Tim Power Smith moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in July 1997 to pursue a career in the health and wellness field, aimed at utilizing his skills in therapeutic massage. He began working at the Aspen Club in October 1997 as a Massage Therapist in the Sports Medicine Department and at SpaAspen. Tim transitioned from bodywork to operations when he was appointed Spa Manager in 1999 and then Spa Director in 2000. In 2005, he became General Manager of the Remedè Spa at the St. Regis in Aspen. In 2007, Tim was promoted to the Western Regional Operations Director for Bliss and Remedè Spas in the W and St. Regis hotels. He oversaw Spa Development, assisting the Starwood Hotels New Builds Team in bringing Bliss and Remedè spas from schematic design to opening and all aspects of Spa Operations for 11 worldwide locations.
In October 2011, Tim rejoined the Aspen Club as the Director of Operations. He now oversees all operations and assists in the residential development, full renovation, and the four pillars of expertise that will be provided by the new Aspen Club: move, eat, breathe, and connect. Tim enjoys skiing, mountain biking, trail running, coaching, camping, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Kate Lokken: Program Development & Financial Analyst
Kate Lokken has been with the Aspen Club since 2013 and has lived in the Roaring Fork Valley since 2006. Kate graduated from Morningside College in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing. She was the Assistant Spa Director for the Remedè Spa in the St. Regis Aspen for two years. Gaining extensive knowledge of spa and business operations and management with the internationally recognized Starwood Hotel brand, she also assisted in the opening of the Remedè Spa, Punta Mita in Mexico. Kate has a lifelong passion for sports, health, and wellness and currently develops programming to help others reach their optimal health.
In her free time, Kate enjoys playing volleyball and basketball, coaching, hiking, traveling, and teaching fitness classes. She also serves on the board of Lucky Day Animal Rescue, a local foster-based animal rescue organization, focusing on education initiatives for children and the Hispanic community.
Michelle James: Senior Sales Executive
Michelle James is originally from Sydney, Australia and is a graduate in International Business from the University of New England. Michelle’s sales career began over 20 years ago in Sydney, Australia in the travel industry, where she began her world travels. Since leaving Australia, she has lived and worked in London, Italy, and Greece and has called Aspen home for the past 10 years. Michelle has been involved in the health and wellness industry for over 12 years and loves helping her clients find their passions and achieve their health and fitness goals. She excels at providing the highest level of service for her clients based on their individual wants and needs.
Michelle’s passion for the Aspen lifestyle is evident in her free time activities that include hiking, snowboarding, skinning, and cycling.
Erin Young: Marketing & Fitness Manager
Erin Young has worked at the Aspen Club since she first arrived in Aspen three years ago. Prior to moving to Aspen, Erin graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and obtained her Athletic Training accreditation at San Diego State University, where she worked with the University of San Diego’s athletic training department. She has also completed training at Mesa Junior College. She worked with a variety of athletes helping evaluate, treat, manage, and prevent athletic injuries, allowing the athletes and teams to perform their best.
Erin began her journey at the Aspen Club in the Sports Medicine Department and has worked in a variety of roles since. Her passion for health and wellness has allowed her to fit right into the Aspen Club team and the Aspen lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys everything the Valley offers. She enjoys being a part of the community and works as the athletic trainer for the local Aspen Leafs U-20 men’s hockey team and coaches youth soccer for Aspen United.
Kim Krantz: Sports Medicine Institute Clinic Manager
Kim Krantz is a native New Mexican who moved to Aspen in the fall of 2015 to take the position of Clinic Manager for the Aspen Club Sports Medicine Institute. Prior to moving to Colorado, Kim managed a private outpatient physical therapy clinic in Albuquerque for six years, where she gained valuable experience in the industry. With a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from the University of New Mexico, she started out marketing the clinic and was also a PT Tech, trained in the business from the ground up.
Though her roots remain in New Mexico, she is now proud to call herself an official Coloradan. Her hobbies include cooking, snowboarding, camping, rafting, paddle boarding, and just about anything on the water.
Candy Allen: Accounts Payable & Payroll
Candy Allen originally hails from Jonesboro, Arkansas and is a graduate of Arkansas State University. She made the move to Aspen 32 years ago and has been an active resident of the community ever since. Prior to joining the Aspen Club, Candy was the Assistant GM at the Grand Champions/Maroon Creek Club as well as the Administrative Assistant at Aspen Junior Golf. A special claim to fame, Candy also was formerly the Personal Assistant to Indy car racer Danny Sullivan.
Candy enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking, and loves to take road trips to the National Parks with her husband, Lenny, of 32 years.
